Christian Counseling
Many people who strongly value their religious/spiritual beliefs prefer to seek the guidance of a therapist who honors and understands their faith and their faith's particular culture. I use the term "Christian counseling" as a way to let you know that your faith will be incorporated into therapy in a way that is meaningful and useful to you. This usually looks like making sure you are honoring your faith values and using your faith as your biggest resource to cope with life.

My approach in dealing with faith
I take a very client-centered approach to incorporating faith into therapy, meaning you get to decide how and when your faith is addressed in therapy. There are no bibles in my office and we will not be debating scripture; that is something that is better to do with a pastor or other religious leader. If religion or spirituality is not important to you, then that is OK, too.
